You may have noticed that I don't have comments enabled... To be brutally honest I create images to satisfy myself and a few people that follow my work. Obligatory comments like "This sucks" or "amazing work" kinda makes me vomit in my mouth a little... What makes any of us critics? All we have are opinions. We're just a bunch of folks rendering images. I very rarely comment on someone's image because when I work on something I generally set impossible goals that I never attain. But for me, unless you wanna live in that little box all your life you must aim higher in order to transcend the boundaries usually set by yourself or software used to render. I wouldn't want to inflict my personal taste or opinion on someone else's work as they may have different goals for their work. Who am I or anyone else to judge? I'm not easily impressed with renders including my own. I've been rendering in Poser and Daz for about 5-6 years and I have yet to complete an image to the point where I feel it's done or even good. There is always something not quite right and I suspect this will always be the case. I guess once we think our work is good enough we have hit the proverbial plateau which is just another one of those boxes you try not to be in. My best advice for someone else that renders is set higher goals for yourself but don't hold others to the same unattainable standards.
My work will never be as popular as most folks here but then again I don't post to be "popular" which is fine if you want to be popular for the sake of being popular... Sort of like a Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton... If I only have a few folks that like my work... I'm good with that.
