when I have a 2-d or 3-d art question, this is where I come to. When i'm in need of a 3-d prop, scene or other object, this is where I come to. And when I want to browse throough an enormous gallery of talented artists' works this is also where I come to. Seems that me and 99,999 other folks feel the same way. Congratulations renderosity and many thanks.

Congratulations to the team and thanks for the constant improvements, events to keep the action going and for all the hard work. I have looked around many places on the net, but this is one that really makes me feel like home.

Nice one Indeed!.. Will the 100,000th member be getting any sort of gratitude for being the 100,000th member! or will he/her/It get nothing?............ Excellent work with the site.....

Can we know who the 100000th member is?

Well begun. Well continued. Best wishes to the administration, mods and all who've made this site so interesting and informative for me. Congratulations.

It feels like such a long time ago that we were voting on the name for this place. Back then I was going by a different username, getting use to playing with the new Poser 4 and wondering what would happen to Poser in the fallout from MetaCreations.

So who is #100,000? Lame not to tell in the info...

Congratulations and many thanks to the sponsors. I look forward to seeing 100,000 more members.

I'm not surprised that renderosity has this many members. If you guyz/galz keep up the great work - your site will one day have 10 times as many members. Good Luck! (and thanks!)

Heh... Not to be a kiljoy, but aren't there really only 300 members and a whole bunch of clones? I think I have at least 12,000 accounts here myself. :P Heeheeheee... j/k. Congrats on the milestone! Paul

Congratulations Renderosity and all of you within (members too) for creating and maintaining such a vibrant and wonderful place for all of us to be.

Slynky ( posted at 12:00AM Sun, 18 August 2002

actually, the only members here are me and entropic. He has a few clone accounts, I have the rest.

All I can say is that this place has become my third home

Entropic has a point: this figure is not an accurate representation of actual individual users. It does not take into account that many ppl at 'rosity have multiple user names; it does not take into account those who joined but have never since visited the site, nor those who were once active participants who have moved on. The figure is an accurate account of registered user names, nothing more, nothing less.

we try to make the numbers as accurate as possible. inactive members are indeed deleted. if you don't come back for a year, your membership is purged from the system. also, we really would prefer folks not use clone accounts... as it does make keeping stats pretty tricky. thanks!

merbliss ( posted at 12:00AM Mon, 19 August 2002

cool audre. I did wonder if you guys deleted the inactive members. Now don't I look like a right old jackass!

Don't wish to sound negative as Renderosity is the best 3D site in the universe and given my work a much greater audience than before. I just wonder if all of the 100,000 members are real. Supposedly I have reffered 5 new members from my web site. However those 5 members all have empty Artist & Gallery pages. Surely most members have at least set up their Artist page and posted 1 image? Just my 2 cents worth. 3DKiwi

Yes but did it hurt? And how much is the garage going to charge for knocking out the dent and the respray... you really should be more careful and look where you're going next time :) Congrats, and keep up the good work.

I was inactive for 2 years and my old account is still up. I just can't remember the login. Also, does that 100,000 include all "the Knights of the Ron table", or is that in addition to... -Adam

Well, it certainly is spreading. I sat down at a computer in the labs on campus one day, logged onto renderosity...doobeedoobeedooo...computer being sloooww...and being a bit nosey, I glanced at the screen next to me. Bloke next to me was logged in to Renderosity. How cool is that?

I would be lost without Renderosity, it has become a home from home and I'm very comfortble here. There are no faults to be seen in the web site and the other 99,999 members are a valuable inspiration for life and work. Keep up the good work. Catlin
