For those of you unfamiliar with Nerdcore, you may liken it to a year round 'Comic-Con' set to video. The channel appeals to both men and women who are passionate about today’s geek culture. This means that viewers will find videos for both hard-core gamers and sci-fi fangirls; comic book collectors and horror buffs. Nerdcore is just one part of the new MSN Video destination which provides an array of entertainment experiences for a range of interests and lifestyles. The goal of Nerdcore is simply to entertain! Viewers of the Nerdcore Channel will find 8-10 new videos on Monday of every week. So, how is it that Renderosity plays a role in this? With any successful video production comes an intriguing set design. The look and feel of the set is critical to establishing the mood that the production team is trying to create for the channel. MSN Video is working with the Renderosity Community to find or create pieces of artwork that resonate with the Nerdcore audience. Renderosity, and the *participating group of talented artists, are honored to have been called upon to be a small part of this great new venture! Interested in taking a behind-the-scenes look at the Nerdcore set? Check out the video below featuring Nerdcore's Host, Blair Butler. Special thanks to the following artists who have already contributed to this collaboration. These artists include; bono35, SeanE, giovanino, mrthirdeyeching, dent-de-lion, Paul Francis, A_Sunbeam, Dim_Reaper, KimberlyC, KuzMich & Matthew12396. *The selection of artwork used as part of the Nerdcore set is hand selected by the Production Staff at MSN. The Marketing group at Renderosity then works with the respective artist to inquire about their interest in participation and then provides project specs to ensure delivery deadlines are met. Although the Nerdcore Channel is in its infancy, Renderosity hopes to continue to foster the growth of this relationship and provide more great content to MSN. At this point we are not accepting requests to participate but we hope to hold future contests for submissions as MSN's needs continue to grow. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact marketing@renderosity.com. |
