Renderosity Digital Art Community and the One Million Masterpiece Team Up
Eyes set on breaking the world's record for the largest artistic collaboration!

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 21, 2006 - Renderosity Digital Art Community and the One Million Masterpiece join forces to produce the world's largest artistic collaboration.

Online digital arts community Renderosity.com has today joined an international alliance that aims to produce the world's first truly global piece of collaborative art. Renderosity, one of the largest online communities for graphic artists, will be encouraging its 500,000 members to take part in the charity backed project and will remain a sponsor until the final unveiling event later next year.

Over 8,000 people from around the world have already joined the One Million Masterpiece since it launched on 14 July 2006, each claiming their own piece of one giant digital canvas. By using the Internet the intention is to build one, huge, unique picture which will be unveiled in London on 11 July 2007, World Population Day.

Five leading international humanitarian, health and environmental charities - Action Aid, Save The Children, Oxfam, World Cancer Relief Fund and WWF - are set to benefit from donations made by contributing artists.

The support of Renderosity is a key step in breaking the current world record of 25,297 contributors to a single artwork. Organizers anticipate breaking the record sometime between Christmas and the New Year.

Founder of the One Million Masterpiece, Paul Fisher, explains: "although this project is open to everyone, graphic artists are playing an important role because they can show other people what can be achieved and will help glue the whole thing together. Renderosity are such an important part of our team because they have access to thousands of computer literate artists and have the tools to reach out and get them involved".

Joining The One Million Masterpiece is free. Log-on to www.theonemillionmasterpiece.com and follow the simple instructions. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the international charities can do so securely through the site.
