Engagement Announcement

We’re pleased to announce that Khai-J-Bach & PipNBairns —a vendor for 18 months —got engaged this past weekend! To celebrate, we decided to honor them by showcasing their work as well as sharing their Renderosity love story! Get ready to feel pure bliss and jealousy.

Khai & Pip met on Renderosity in January 2014, but they didn’t plan to develop a romantic relationship.

“Natural progression is only way it can be described,” says PipNBairns. “We decided to try for further and basically friendship slipped into love.”

Khai lives in England while Pip lives in Scotland, so the distance is a bit of a challenge. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop them from continuing their romantic relationship.

“Let's just say I finally realise why some marriages last 50 years and more….” paused Pip. “It’s because the feeling of trust, comfort, and genuine emotion is automatically there and for me of all people to say that it's a lot I trust nobody.”

In terms of falling in love, Khai notes,

“I think it was more mutual sense of humor and outlook. She's my other half. I don’t feel right when we're apart….like I should be somewhere else.”

When it comes to art, they don’t share the same taste.

“He prefers props, rooms, and scenes and I [enjoy] textures and add ons,” said Pip. “[It’s good because] we can't argue over programs and who's right and wrong.”

Being an artist matters to Pip and she feels a boost a confidence when creating art pieces.

“When you get to a certain stage in life you need to fight back,” said Pip. “So, doing add ons gave me a purpose made me feel like I was achieving something.”

She described their first initial meeting as, “easier than I thought, nerve-wracking even worse for him as I have 2 teenagers.”

He popped the question this past Saturday when her 2nd kid woke up. “He wouldn't propose without both kids being there.”  Khai simply asked her to marry him and “then asked the kids if that was all right with them.”

“Sometimes it's difficult to explain what we feel,” added Pip. “But, Khai managed in one day to win my kids over.”

“I just knew she was the one….. deep down,” said Khai. “Being apart is not a option.”

They haven’t set an official date, but hope to be together very soon!

Congratulate them today!
