In Memory of Noel - Bruce "Rick" Peters
Although Renderosity has grown to over 200,000 active members, we still mourn the loss of each family member. Even though we are one of the largest online art communities, what sets us apart from the rest is the depth of feelings we have for one another. For, it is not just "the art that counts," but more importantly it's the "artist that counts!" Thus, it is with a heavy heart that I bring you the sad news of another loss to our community, our family. Bruce Rick Peters known to his friends on Renderosity as Noel [Noel Kettering] died suddenly, at the age of 55, of a heart attack on Christmas morning while visiting his mother. Noels passion for 3D art is showcased within his Renderosity Art Gallery and his outstanding and diversified Bryce images. Not only was he a lover or art, but he was also a lover of the art-of-words.
Assorted Images From Noel's Renderosity Gallery Bruce Rick Peters [Noel]
Noel was a longtime member of Renderosity and the Bryce community. Although few knew ... Noel was a member of Mensa and the Triple Nine Society. Yet, he remained a humble man, who was always there to lend assistance to his fellow artist; posting helpful comments to artists images and offering advice and encouragement, both within the galleries and the Bryce forum.
A favorite image which shows Noel's artistic style as well as his sense of humor. Strataquarium Bruce Rick Peters [Noel]
Below, a poem reproduced from Bruce Rick Peters' memorial memory card reproduced by permission from author: Heaven Is My Home Janice Winslow Harper Picture me in Heaven with a smile upon my face. Here I am an angel, living in Gods grace. Dont grieve for me because Im gone rejoice that I am here. Jesus knew I needed Him, thus, He drew me near. My life on Earth was wonderful in love and memories sown. But Earth was just a stopping place. Heaven is my home. I miss you all so very much, and I know youre missing me. But home is where the heart is and thats where I need to be. Look up and see my shining face. Reach out and touch it too; I am but a breath away, standing close to you.
We invite you to visit Noel's Renderosity Art Gallery Please join with us in sending his beloved mother Evelyn, and Noels family and friends our prayers and best wishes. Noel shall be missed greatly as an artist and more importantly a friend! Gentle hugs, From the Renderosity Staff and Community!

Bruce's art will be lovely memorial to all those who knew him and too many who didn't for generations to come. My prayers go out to his family and a great deal of love for them during this time of grief. Some one dear to me passed just before Christmas and she always used to say " The only mistake in love is not to share it " . So know your loved and prayed for !

As the Prophet said:

Then Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."

And he said:

You would know the secret of death.

But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?

The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;

And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.

Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.

Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?

Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

My deepest condolences to his family and all of that were friends.

Although I am new to this community, I would still like to extend my deepest sympathies to Bruce's mom,Evelyn, and to all his friends and family. As some have already said, his art will live on in this world as will the memories that he has left those so precious in his life. God Bless.

My deepest heartfelt sympathies to Rick's family and friends. While I've never had the honor of knowing him or his work our loss is deeply felt. The poem written by Ms.Harper is a beautiful testimont to the person that Rick was, and leaving us with warm and comforting thoughts. The advantage of being in a community such as this is the knowledge that Rick touched the hearts and imaginations of people around the world. I was taught to either leave this world the same, or make it a better place than when I came into it. Rick has surpassed that. Just from the few artworks on this page I can tell before I even glance at his gallery he has left us the most inspriring and profound beauty. I am so happy to know that his gallery will remain here. As it is a place for those that knew him to visit, but also for those of us yet to know him to be inspired and touched by his work. What a wonderful thought that is, Ricks legacy will continue to nurture and inspire!
