Now in it’s 7th year, motion returns to Albuquerque – The Land of Enchantment’s largest city. From October 4th – October 7th. motion 2013 promises an inspiring and enriching fusion of design, experiences, and illuminated discussion.

motion is one of North America’s leading innovative and uniquely intimate events – bringing together an ever expanding scope of the brightest and most creative minds for an annual celebration of who we are: creatives.

motion 2013 takes you on a mind-bending three day ride – what we refer to as the TED talks of our industry. Filmed in front of a live studio audience filled with motion designers, producers, vfx artists, writers, animators, creative directors, graphic designers and illustrators, each speaker is on stage for 18 minutes sharing their unique perspective on subjects they’re passionate about. Innovative ideas that revitalize the creative muse.

Talks that // feed the creative brain //

motion encompasses a unique creative culture across its wide spectrum of talks, providing an environment where audience members are encouraged to take an active role in the discussion. Participation in debate and reflection after each motion segment enhances the process, uniting speakers and audience members who wish to take the conversation to the next level.

Whether on stage as a speaker, or participating from the audience: we are all creatives. Each person is a uniquely talented individual who thrives on creating, inspiring, opening minds, challenging conventions, and pushing boundaries into new realms.

motion 2013 promises an eclectic and diverse range of speakers – some of the most creative thinkers and innovators today.

Past motion speakers have worked on some of the top box-office hits including Avatar, Harry Potter, Mission Impossible III, The Bourne Ultimatum Series, The Dark Knight, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Avengers, Iron Man 2, Shutter Island, Terminator Salvation…and so many more.

On the broadcast side, our speakers have created projects for some of the most visible brands in the world. This prestigious list includes Mercedes Benz, Chanel, Nike, Ford, Apple, United Airlines, Xerox, Microsoft as well as a plethora of others – and virtually every network: ESPN, HBO, FOX, NBC, ABC, Showtime, and Sky.

motion speakers have worked for Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar, Imaginary Forces, Picture Mill, Zoic Studios, psyop – you get the idea – pretty much every high-profile vfx, animation, and motion design company in the world. For three full days, these visionaries share their ideas, their creations – and their unique way of experiencing the world.
