by Miret on Oct 30, 2004 9:55:43 am [homepage] THANK you, this has been fantastic. Now to learn eyebrows. :)
Thank you, thank you! This is a GREAT tutorial! It was my first trip into the hair room and you made it SO easy!
A wonderful tutorial. I will try it today for sure!!
Proper render settings can also vastly improve the look of hair. I found that the default 1 pixel box filter in FireFly doesn't look that good with hair - a 2 pixel gauss filter or a 3 pixel sinc filter yield much more pleasant results.
Good tutorial:) One comment however Poser does support the printscreen just use the Printscreen next to the Then paste in Paint Shop Pro as New image(Ctrl-v)
by rowan_crisp on Nov 7, 2004 8:23:36 pm [homepage] I was using it, actually, tomahawk... but it was making Poser perform an entirely different function. :)
by Angelsinger on Dec 17, 2004 6:47:32 pm [homepage] Thank you for this tutorial! Your pictures are clear enough, I don't see any problem. However, you alerted me to something of which I was previously unaware: I opened Poser 5 and used the PrtSc key, and found the same thing you did. Nothing pasted into Photoshop. AnyHOO, you can use this litte program instead, (ZIP file download is only 356KB). It's FREE, and the clarity of images is amazing. It's called UOSU (Ultima Online Screenshot Utility), and you can download it from this page -- http://www.hh.iij4u.or.jp/~kmatuoka/uosu/indexe.html I did a test shot of Poser's interface, and everything was clear and beautiful. Hope this helps you, especially since you've helped so many of us!
by rowan_crisp on Dec 17, 2004 6:50:03 pm [homepage] Thank you muchly, Angelsinger. I'm on my way now.
by Angelsinger on Dec 17, 2004 11:12:16 pm [homepage] Wow, you're fast! :P BTW, I'm sure you'll find out for yourself, but one of the best things about UOSU is that it lets you take a shot of only the active window... That's great for capturing just the parameter window, or even the library window... I like that feature since it keeps me from having to crop my pictures all the time. Great luck to ya', and thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us! :)
by flinchingkitten on Jan 31, 2005 6:14:09 pm [homepage] i'm new to poser, but this tutorial was really helpful and easy to understand. thanks! :)
Good stuff! Thanks! | |
This is a great tutorial thank you. I am fairly new to this program and I am sory to ask in this way but when I have applied hair in this way to Jessi in P6 I just seem to get hair all over her face and can't move it away - can you help me please??? Thanks again
by ThrommArcadia on Oct 31, 2006 7:36:04 am [homepage] Even though I have been using poser for years, I find this tutorial a handy reference. Fantastic work, thank you.
Very nice, clear, concise tutorial. I like that it has a bit of humor in it, too, such as the comment about growing grass without harmful chemicals. =) I'm searching for the answer to one question right now that the tutorials don't seem to address, though--can hair created in the hair room be saved as a prop and/or independent object? =) Thanks. ~Threshie
by charly_hayze on Mar 16, 2011 11:42:32 am [homepage] Nice tut, thankyou! With regards to print screening, try using Howie's Quick Screen Capture software. You can assign a grab key, set the directory to save into and, best of all, it's FREE! Lol! Take a look on Google and you'll find it, it's a tiny program too, I swear by it! ;)
Wow!! Thanks for making this super easy!! I have been chicken to go into the hair room until now, lol
