Things you need for this tutorial:
A camera or a 3D program
An image editing program that can handle color channels (Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.net etc.)
Anaglyph glasses (doesn't matter if it's red/cyan, green/magenta or yellow/blue)
For the sake of this tutorial, I built this hideous scene. It consists of three procedural terrains with some weird rock texture added. Anyway, no matter how ugly this might look, it'll work - the only thing required in a picture like this, is depth
. There has to be some kind of difference between the foreground and the background. Therefore, plain backgrounds will decrease the effect. Forests, for example, will look very interesting.
