Have you ever rendered a creature and thought, 'this would look so much better with real hair'? You can of course postwork hair in Photoshop, but if you have access to a 3D programme that can do it for you (like Carrara!), you can get even more realistic results with very little effort.

Speech Bubbles/Balloons - How I Do It
I've had several folks ask how I do the speech bubbles/balloons for my "Girls From T.N.A." series. Here's a look at the process I use. This is a PDF file, so you'll need Adobe Reader or another PDF reader. While I use Photoshop for the final composite, Gimp or Paint Shop Pro (or any graphics app allowing use of layers) would work as well. Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to SM me! Enjoy!

Simple Cutaway animations in LightWave using no plugins
This revisits an old technique which used a second object to "fill in" the cutaway area. In this version I use nodes to color the back sides of polygons to make it look like the mesh is filled in when really it's just hollow. It's a fake effect and it has some limitations, but it might do what you need it to do.
