Creating Scenes from Textures - Tutorial 17
The tutorial teaches the user how to create a background scene using brushes. Brushes, textures and additional items are included free. I give step by step instructions with images so the user can see the progress of each step. Note: I updated this on June 23rd 2012. I realized the zip folders were not at my domain so they now are there and the tutorial is complete again.

Painting Realistic Shadows
When using multiple 3D applications to create an image that is comp’ed in an image editor, it can sometimes be difficult to make it look as if the figures are actually part of the background. I’ve found a rather simple way to create what I feel is a convincing shadow. This really helps to localize & place the figure in the scene. Although I use Photoshop, this technique can be accomplished in any image editor that supports layers.
