Digital painting, Photoshop brushes/ Wacom tablet (roughly 20 hours)

I used the photo "virginie" by Photocordie with his permission for reference. Thank you Alain!

This is a gift to my dear friend Tania, who asked me one day; How would you draw a butterfly?

Awesome painting! The lighting is very well done...sets the mood and emphasizes the subject in a dramatic and appealing way. Excellent.

The use of greyscale or black & white imagry seems too sparingly used in today's art. This image proves that you don't need vivid color to be vibrant. An excellent and inspiring piece!

You got my vote. Interesting to see your work with a lighter perspective. Love your dark stuff, too, as you know. I'm particularly taken by the eye, hand and hair, as elements. The whole piece holds together really well, too.

I believe this is one of the first completely digital works of yours I've seen (as opposed to postworked scanned sketches, I mean). I see the time you put into this, it's impressive Mikko! Thanks for sharing :-)

There is so much detail to every piece I have seen of Lumo. It must be long and strenuous to just create one artwork. I admire how much Lumo pays attention to detail.

Wonderful! I love how her hand is poised, almost as if the beauty of the butterfly is too much to behold. Superb work! :)
