Ok I confess the statue fig I made in poser and imported it and the hanging plants are from 3dplants freestuff BUT-it is bryce 5 with no postwork..Another shot and theme for my latest modeling exploits!
The sun rays which caused a 20 hour render in normal(with 3 spotlights) seems wasted time(well I was Asleep for the renders so who cares!)
Looks like a peacefull pleasent place so here it is:0)

excellent modelling! what was the "volumetric world"- setting for this? the light is very intense and I can hardly remember to have seen something like this in real life, but ... it looks cool!

Beautiful picture ! I found out like you, the hard way, (hours of waisted render) that the sun rays really only show and look cool against a dark background. If your scene is bright, you can try adding a negative light in the back, that should do it.
