I appreciate you using the ZOOM as it's a very small render but so detailed in it's morph and texture map!! Thanks!
After a day of my sweet Nickie cat coming down with a NASTY vomiting/IBS/pancreatic attack that must have started in the middle of the night (blame it on a hairball?!), and the resulting emergency trip to the vets (he is home, all fixed up with water under his skin, shots for nausea and Prednisone - which he takes daily but can't today) and a $170 bill.... whew!....He is safe at home with me and sleeping, recovering.
Last time my helper took Nickie to the vet, he sat in a crowded waiting room for HOURS to get in, and he brought me back a flu virus...so THIS time I handed Nickie in his carrier sort of out the door...and took him back IN that way too...just to try and cut down on my exposure... (bad immune system for those that don't know me, and no it's not from a deadly disease, I was born that way)....
AND THEN just finding out from him that my new machine may be here for installing the OS "on site" so it will read all my hardware (monitor etc.) NEXT WEEK... I have been working on the last of my backing up .... which includes setting up my new Dawn Runtime...good grief it's about 3 gigs already?!?!
It's scary getting a new computer.... exciting too, sort of like buying a new home and moving... It's REALLY HARD ON ME, as my computer is my ONLY link to the world, getting groceries home delivered, etc.! I will of course set up everything ahead of time just in case we have any problem with my interenet connection, so I am well stocked up. I DO plan on calling ATT to get "uverse" and a faster connection...but one thing at a time... Sooo assuming I do get the machine next week, I will be GONE for a while getting it "just right" and feeling homey and comfortable... Hopefully my Poser 9 will be HAPPIER with the 64 megs of ram (I know it can ONLY use 4, but AT LEAST it will HAVE those 4 gigs, instead of vying for them with my old 32 bit win7!! (new machine is of course 64 bit...and STUPID ME for not getting Poser 2014 when it was ON SALE...now I have to wait! argh!!)
ANYWAY, I just TOOK a few hours this evening, to play with the new HiveWire fantasy horse - the KIRIN morph/map by Sparky ...Such a shiny golden magical creature!!! It's so easy to render, I mean it just shines! :))
I injected both the Kirin and the foal into Harry....then dialed the Kirin to 1.000 and the foal just to 0.5000.... this is what I have so far...and it was FUN and RELAXING!! Just the ticket! (oh and I did have to manually go get the trans map for the foal's mane to make that look right.) The shadowing is just been laid in to smoosh it around until I like it, FYI... and of course I am keeping the pz3's of each figure on my back up to make a new BIGGER art piece when things are all new!!
SO! With all this, I have put my Mil horse map conversions (and additions) on hold for when I have the new machine set up and all loaded up... Besides, I need to wait to release them until well AFTER CWRW (Laurie) releases her map packs for the Harry breeds (any minute now!) and so it goes...this thing we call life! :0

Very interesting texture. Sorry to hear about Nickie, but I'm glad he is feeling better. About your computer, you know you can have both of them running and using the internet buy using a router. That means that if you have a long render going, you can still surf the Web or work on something else. Just a thought. - Bob

The problem is the old machine is DYING!! so no, can't network and use it too... BUT since I will have a flash drive (or solid state...how a flash drive which is like pure ram can be called "solid state" is beyond me!) and 64 megs of ram, with new i7 that has FOUR megs of cache on board, and a video card with 4 GIGS on board...I don't think I will have ANY trouble rendering anymore! :) I even hope to put Carerra *spell* back on!! When my helper called this a bad a** machine, he means it! LOL! I will keep the old machine only for back up as an emergency - with it's power plugged in, but set aside. Apparently the person who built IT used...um lessor parts and also built it as a gaming machine, not a rock steady art station...plus at the time I did not go for 64 bit, not knowing HOW backward compatible win7 professional IS - it's made to run anything that used to run on XP!! So should all work out. :))
