"The Ecstasy of St. Teresa Explained by the Mathematical Reconstruction of Gustave Courbet's Origin of the World"
Oil on Canvas 20x20
6/7/2014

My latest painting, based on two fractals, depicts as its title states, Berniniâs magnificent Ecstasy of St Teresa,, but delves under her robes to find Courbetâs âOrigin of the Worldâ, in the throws of orgasm. The Waves of orgasm link the fleshy world of âThe Originâ to the lofty miracle in marble of Bernini with all the pink and cr¨me rivulets an orgasm can produce.

I think it is even smaller than the thumbnail, but no matter, I can see it. It is a tender mix of fractal and painting. It reminds me of an image produced by using one of the Phoenix formulae in Fractal Explorer.
