I was lucky to find this quite spot in the Valley where I could take a 360 degree panorama. Through the trees you see Yosemite Falls, in the center is Half Dome
and to the right is Sentinel Rock. I like how the clouds are starting to build in the background and the sun flares through the tree.
This image is made from a lot of individual pictures, I used Autopan to create a stitched HDR panorama and Photomatix for the tonemapping. Both SW
products are great and do most of the postwork but there are still many things that can go wrong in the field and I have only shot a few HDR + Panoramic images.

You should remind people that needs to be seen full size for effect. Must have been shot at f16 or higher to get the depth and the sunburst. Yet not a bit of blurring in the leaves or grass. Must have been a perfectly calm day. The vast amounts of blue and green create a very cool appearance to what was probably a very warm day.
This is very skillfully constructed.
