In all my moss admiration I've never noticed this Loved the bright green of it with all the gray and brown around.

A fine composition as always, but according to Wikipedia, mosses "do not have flowers or seeds, and their simple leaves cover the thin wiry stems. At certain times mosses produce spore capsules which may appear as beak-like capsules borne aloft on thin stalks.". So either those are spore capsules or this is not really moss...

a beautiful proof that Nature is at home everywhere, and we are vulgar occupants! > These flowers are self grafted on birch because it was their good meeting!

Moss with flowers? Absolutely unheard of and difficult to conceive of, especially down here in relatively arid Southern California.
Otherwise, stellar focus, contrast and textures most evident in this super portrait, Denise.

A fantastic color of green and I will have to give moss a closer look for tiny flowers!

I've seen moss flowers before, but they are VERY easy to miss! THIS is a brilliant and intensely gorgeous shot! Now what I wanna know is: just what sort of interesting ninja-photographer contortion did you have to execute in order to get this? I really love the details! Even the details have details! Brilliant.
