On we trek battling the PC problems, slowly they get sorted.. Some good news! When my external wasn't saying go forth to the new PC yesterday I managed to transfer a copy of the entire file of my photos to the new PC.. I now have two copies!
So, off we go now, I was going to post this before all the hassle started.. To complete the De Havilland DH89A RAPIDE series of shots.. Here you see the beauty about to line up on the main runway for take off at Duxford, pre airshow...

OK, Rob...you wouldn't expect less than for me to identify the 'Young' plane would you?
The T-tail configuration is the giveaway for me. It was manufactured by Piper Aircraft sometime during the years 1977-1979. It is a Piper Lance or Lance II. It appears to have a three bladed prop and retractable gear. It could even be a Turbo Lance II. I have several hundred hours flying Piper Cherokee 140s, 180s and 235s, the only easily recognizable difference between them and the Lance is the T tail. T tails were very unpopular (different flight characteristics...the tail begins to fly after the wings during takeoff or put another way it is a pig at low airspeed) and Piper dropped them in 1980.
But you've got a fashionable one on short final here:)
