| Greetings folks, Still fighting PC land here, so bare with my patchy comments and posts of late, sorry guys n gals! This very VERY item, is one of only 5 left in the U.K. They were of course fairly common and couples would often spend romantic bonk-a-thons over the weekend in one of these lol Now sadly, there arr 5 remaining here, when I took this, maybe less now.. This one was totally restored and put back on the road in 2000.. Enjoy Rob |

Very cool capture Rob, I've never seen one like it before
This is a first for me, I've never sey eyes on one before!! Super shot Rob.
if it is rockin' don't come a-knockin'! great capture
So cool mate. Did a bit of digging about since our chat on this earlier and as it was a conversion for the Mini Van of the time it was probably powered by the Wheezy 848cc A-series engine. As this came with Bed, table, curtains, cupboards and water carriers as standard imagine trying to drive that with 2 adults up a hill :)
What a cool little camper mobile! Wish I had one back when I was a youngster.
Wicked, Rob, a great capture...in all my years associated with 'most' things Mini, I have never seen one of those... doesn't even get a mention in any of my many Mini books!! Great to see it...
Very cool. Get one, ship it here and drive around all the states with it. You'd sure get a lot of attention from all the campers here! OK, so you'd need to win the lottery first...small detail:)
by goodoleboy on Feb 2, 2013 6:16:00 pm [homepage] Super shot of this unusual mini campervan, Rob; would be ideal for tailgating barbeques held in the parking lots of football stadiums prior to the big game.
cool capture | |
by dakotabluemoon on Feb 3, 2013 6:58:33 am [homepage] I have to say this is the first one i have ever seen with a camper style awesome shot.
Great capture Rob. An Austin Mini Camper? You would get a lot of attention here in the US as Bill said. I watch 'Top Gear' and the trio is making a lot of comments about campers in general - it interferes with their idea of being a 'petrolheads'.
Bonk-a-thons??? LOL!! As they say "if the camper's rockin', don't come knockin'" :-) Looks like a really neat little camper – great shot of it, Rob! Hope you get your computer problems sorted – that's no fun at all!
