FYI the car is a pristine 1971 Holden HQ Monaro, and the colour is Passion Purple! Best viewed zoooooooomed.

Oh, yes...zoomed is very good! Another nice job with your 5DMkII. The name isn't familiar to me but the Chevy "bowtie" is.

Lots of work done here! Makes me remember my grandfather who kept his Fargo truck engine clean like this all the time...he was a fanatic before his time. Nice shot Andrew!

How sweet it is to see a REAL muscle car engine instead of the modern "chainsaw on steroids" version.

Great photo!

I love how Australian cars, particularly of this period, look very much like slightly smaller RHD versions of the products being put in the home market by their American parent companies. This Holden for example looks A LOT like a 1970 Chevy Chevelle with a touch of a Canadian Pontiac Beaumont thrown in for good measure. This is a very sweet looking ride, and with less weight than a Chevelle it's probably fast as hell. I WANT ONE!!! By the way, during this period, Chrysler offered a very similar color on it's muscle cars called "Plumb Crazy Metallic." Love this shot!!
