Great photo, the hole looks man made so could well be a test bore for minerals or indeed a drilled hole for a dynamite charge.

When I first looked the hole was a positive, that is I saw a pebble sitting on the rock. Now I can flip in and out of the two readings at will. Strange.

We call this stone with a hole "chicken god" and wear them with a cord than chain around the neck. Your exemplar, however, seems to be very large. I would have a very stooped posture.
