Painted in Photoshop. Another WIP I thought I would share. Zoom for details.
I started painting her face using a photo reference from mjranum-stock at deviantart, though most of the resemblance is long gone. The background contains elements from smoko-stock at deviantart. Everything else is me...
Thanks for viewing

There is a lot of super nice detail in the cheeks and lips and finger tips! I find when I draw jewelry that the circle selection tool and some selection transforming makes jewels easier to paint, since it sets a hard line around the outside of the stone that is difficult to draw freehand, and you can do gradient shading and fx in the stone without having to worry about what's around it.

It has been long since my last comment, but this artwork really called for my feedback. Man you have *improved* your skills and creations ! I'm stunned by both the deep realism and subtle emotion that the image conveys. Thanks a lot for sharing this masterpiece.
On the "critic" side, I found the light reflection in her eyes too contrasting (as a result looks too "squared"). The skin, lips and fingers (all her face actually) are just amazingly well done. I know how much making the hair look realistic is difficult, and some of this itch remains here, but I'm clueless for any help or recommendation.
Keep up with the excellent work ! :-)
