Sweet shot from looking down the nose cone. when i was a teenager, i had built and hand painted over 150 , 1/72 scale model air planes. this was one of them. my grand parents in maine took me to the owls head transpertation musium where we seen a f111 and then baught me the kit. Then back at their place, grandpa helped me build it. i some times wish i still had all those models, especialy that one. thanks for the memories inspired by this shot

Everything is so clean and pristine here but the other end of the application is so stained and shattered. Underneath the sleekness it is still a killing machine, yet it is so appealing. The epitome of mixed emotions.

Famous (at least in the UK) for its fuel dumps.. (Look it up on youtube folks!!)
A fantastic aircraft, retired early I think, both in your Air Force and the U.S.
They used to be based near me at RAF Lakenheath..

A cool aircraft. According to one of our pilots that flew them back in the UK (when he was stationed there), with a little tweaking they hit about 1,800 mph.
