Lebeau asked me to colour this one up for him so he make a private one off poster print out of it to give to his son for Christmas (hope he's not reading this then...!!), so... here it is! Basic idea was to follow the officially published colour scheme as much as possible so no huge claims for originality on this one then. Original colours are by Alec Sinclair

The starry background is one that I made up for some pictures that I did for Art Thibert and his upcoming Chrono Mechanics kickstarter (which is yet to start... its been ages now, will it ever I wonder!?..! *looks at Art with raised eyebrow*...) and which I have yet to have permission to post online, but the background at least looked pretty good here as well.

just under a half a century when I was a kid, I use to wake up Saturday Mornings and watch cartoons, One was Super Friends. Looking at this image and thinking back, how things have changed. Aquaman looks close to what he use to and it's just a matter of time the people with the rights to the character will change his color scheme to that of blue - because of water - it's amazing actually that orange and green have survived together, but what other thing in life represent orange and green? can't think of any. Green lantern was changed to a black guy and then gay... wonder woman lost her stars, her sexiness, and put the pants on. Superman - Chrisopher Reeves will always be the way I picture superman = any change from that look is a mistake. Batman? Was my favorite to watch, I really liked he was serious but always had a laugh about him - after the 66 seroes, I feel they have ruined this character = the batmobile from the 66 era is still my favorite car, the newer batmabiles lost their shine, they just black, they need a splash of red, yellow, gold... Flash... he looks like he has ski boots on.... ya ever try and run with ski boots on? lol.... this is an art gallery image - I like the ART Itself, other than the changes to the character I don't like - but you didn't have anything to do with that. I like the images on the sides, I had a thought of a design similar in the week for christmas, but I didn't put enough effort into the though to materialize it... I went with something else... If I would of seen this two weeks ago, I probably would have gone with the idea cause I like the look of this. great job.

Stunning. Pencils by Jim Lee should be enough said but the inking coloring, compostion all show us what a professional can do.

Absolutely stunning.
