| Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody! Unfortunately, in America it seems our national day for observing thanks has just turned into "Turkey-day"--a day to eat ourselves full to the point of obscenity. Nevertheless, I still like to use some of the day to ponder all the things for which I am thankful. I've never had everything that I wanted, but I always have had enough--and in an age when many on this good Earth are starving and homeless. I've enjoyed mostly good health during my life; and when it failed me, I have had the miracle of excellent doctors and the skills of their minds and hands to heal me and return me to good health. I have not always been the best parent that I should have been, but my children still honor and love me. I have known the love of two good women; and am thankful that, each in their own time, were willing to share a big part of my life. I have circled the sun 74 times and known the passing of an equal number of beautiful seasons. Two small dogs and one cat have taught me much of God, myself, and what is really important in life. Some may think that is a silly thing, but I assure you those relationships have taught me many profound lessons about life. I'm thankful for the creativity that has been such a big part of my life. So many things to be thankful about; the list goes on and on. And one of the things that I am especially happy and grateful about, is you, my cyber-friends. Your interest and encourgements have had a very positive impact upon my life. Thank you, my Friends! Jeremy CREDITS: Figure: Predation's "Loretta Lorez" (DAZ). Her clothing and hair are his as well. Animal: Predation's "Lorez Dog" with his Beagle morphs (also DAZ). Vegetation: Large plants in foreground (and also scattered about in the background are Lisa's Botanicals "Indian Grass" and ground texture is her "Elephant Grass Ground"(DAZ). All other plants are "Fall and Winter Weeds" by Robin Kleb (Cornucopia3d). |

Happy Thanksgiving, Jeremy! (Or, as I like to call it, Tryptophan Awareness Day) Great image. I like the field.
Happy Thanksgiving my friend...hope it's a good one! Like the POV in this one, especially looking through the foreground grass...a little DOF blurring of said grass would add to the depth, but that's minor...nicely done!

Very lovely render Jeremy, as is the sentiment shared. Your right, there's alot to be thankful for, aspect's of one's own life often forgotten or never realized by many. Happy Thanksgiving to you too :) (ours in Canada was much earlier, mid October)
tHANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. I have been reflecting on the past a great deal lately ... awake or dreaming. little details like pets, steam engines, people and events not thought of for near 7 decades, lizards in the sun, water jacks in hand dug wells ... and much more. hugs to all.
by Issemissen on Jan 21, 2013 1:37:22 pm [homepage] This is a wonderful render, with intricate detail. Where I live we do not celebrate Thanksgiving like you do. But it is such a beautiful tradition. We should all count our blessings (is that the right expression?) because we have so much to be grateful for, if we only look around us. All the best.
Well said... And a nice POV,,
