Now I lay me,
down to sleep.
I pray, the Lord,
My Soul to keep.
If I should die, before I wake.
I pray the Lord, My Soul to take.
When I was about 8 years old I had a dream that I was sleeping on our back porch on a cot, in an apartment we lived in, in a rural town in the Chicagoland area. In the dream I was looking up into the night sky and I saw, in the formation of stars, a man, as though he was holding something up in his hands in an arhcers' stance. I did not understand it at the time but I always remembered the dream. A couple of decades later I realized that the figure I saw in my dream was "Orion- The Hunter" from the constellation Orion, which I didn't come to know of until my late teens.
Though this story is irrelevant to the depiction here, I just wanted to share it with you. :-)
The image here is a depiction of, in many cultures, what happens after life. An ascension!
Where do we go from here? Reincarnation? Everlasting Life? 70 virgins? A great void?
A personal opinion. The universe was created for a reason, it is vast and practically void of life. Beautiful as seen from telescopes and inviting in every way. It would be an enormous waste if it were not created for us (humans) to appreciate in ways aside from a glimpse through a lense.
In the books of Mark and Luke (from the bible)it is said that Jesus "Appeared" before the 11 apostles and dined with them. "Appeared"
He didn't knock on the door or climb through the window. He appeared before them. Which means in his state he could most likely "appear" anywhere because of his perfect body after his crucifixion.
Imagine "appearing" on the shores of Orion, or on the outskirts of the Andromeda galaxy, or being a guest to the Ring Nebulae, or even looking, not edge on, but above our own Milky Way galaxy and adiring all the beauty created. The travel ticket would be limitless and unending!
Be sure that your affairs are in order and someday these wonders of beauty will be there for you.
