by Inspired_Art on Aug 6, 2012 8:54:05 pm [homepage] Nice! There was an old PC game once called Star Command. Loved that game. I also love Buck Rogers. The ship reminds me of a B-1 Bomber.

@Inspired_Art, there was also a Saturday morning TV show called "Jason of Star Command." I never got to see all of it, but apparently, it was connected to a previous Saturday morning show called "Space Academy" starring Jonathan Harris of "Lost in Space." On Buck Rogers, I saw Gil Gerard at San Diego Comic Con last year. We had a nice conversation. Apparently there was an attempt to revive Buck Rogers on the web a few years ago. It even had the blessing of the Dille family. It was called "Buck Rogers Begins." Gil and Erin Gray starred as Buck's parents.
supercope and all, I have seen the small film they did and even have it on my HD. It made me want a lot more of it but I think that they didn't have the finances to continue with production, but it looked good. Jason of Star Command was a spin off of Space Academy. Both show boasted of having the highest production values for a Saturday morning TV show at that time. What I imagined here was a sort of mixture of the Classic Buck Rogers and Tom Corbett, Space Cadet set in a modern vision of the 1950's space Opera. It really was inspired by the new Space Command web movie/series that is due to come out this fall (I think).
Very well done. I love it. 5+!
