OLYMPIADS

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

All you "OLYMPIC ADDICTS" probably watched Britain's 2012 big bang opening bash.
We're equally sure most of your are familiar with Greek youths running (in the raw) around
Mount Olympus during Greece's glorious golden games.

But what you may not know is what the research staff at doarte's Antiquity's Department have
featured here in this iconic midnight image.

From about 8000 B.C. up to the 10th Century's Dark Ages, British Celts were using Stonehenge
settings for daring druid dances and mystical movements we moderns call "Spiritual Athletics".

It seems that even way back then humans learned the art of competition without a need to slaughter rivals or engage in war.

Tally-Ho, my Dear Doctor.. and felicitous greetings to you and your merry band of Celtic Conquerers!
and I begin this missive with the words Tally-Ho, as an ancient Gaelic cheer as set the Brythunic Warriors to aflame before battle!
Having just returned from the opening ceremonies, My Intended and Myself... (you may have had chance to view us in the Queen's Party on your electro-optical viewing device... ahem...)
having as such returned from the ceremonies and a few of the games (having been an avid fencer in my youth, the Epee matches were of keen interest... some of the Eppeists and Sabrers were of such skill that I might extend to them invitations to join up with my crew, once the re-fit of the Wyvern Rampant has been complete....)
at to you current example of the athletical exhuberance that the youth of the past and present do display, once again, I am in awe of the artwork that you have, as in the past, and do so will in the future....
huzzah, I say... Huzzah... another moment in the splendor that is the Odditoria....
My Intended, Lady constance, sends her love!
Commander, Sir Asimov Vinge Zelazney, Terran Trust and Investigations....

yeah but this wisdom to compete without slaughtering has gotten lost on the road.
now we go into the "Cheating lane" ie doping and manipulation.
respect for the brits for the hosting of the games and also the openening ceremony.
but after the scandals in the first week my joy for the games is gone.i dont watch crap all only the news flashes wich i got when hitting the news channel -what i try to avoid also because of all the economic manipulation and other crap.

yesterday i heard of the manupulation in games chinese/phillipine/korean ??i think it was.

fine work wayne. sorry my rants lol.
