| Part 2 of the Darkness cover pencils and inks by Joe Weems A few days after I sent my orange version of this Darkness cover to Joe, he tells me they'd asked JJ Kirby to give it a shot on the colours as well. Joe also sent me a sneak preview copy of JJ's colours and said "See what you can do with yours now." So I got back into my version, ditched the orange theme and using JJ's a cue redid my colours to match somewhat and fired it back off the Joe. Personally I think that my colouring style is a little more refined on the detail than JJ's so this matches his colour scheme but still has my methodology to it overall. Not to worry though because as I said in the orange version that I originally did it looks like they're not going to use it anytime soon and if they do it'll probably be JJ's colours anyway... Well, at least I gave it a shot... *sigh* :) cheers Sean |

I like both images equally the same - just took a look and refresh my view on your previous orange background... to me, Orange gives me the sense of the sun going down... green gives me a sense he is in stench, to where there is an awefull smell, like that of death - green also represents a nature smell, grass, trees, plants... to me, I might have gone with a red background with a feel of fire and heat and highlighted the images as if the red is flame..... I clicked on your homepage so I could check out your other image - your artist of the month shield for 2004 is there, but the one you just won isn't - you need to post that.

Chin Up.. Sean! There's nothing like pouring a 110% into something only to be overlooked. The good news is that if your rebounding skills are "up to par"...more opportunities will come along. Remember to be a winner in your own mind, you first have to think like one:) Your time WILL come, my friend;)
