Hello all you early 90's game fans!

This is my second image I have made in tribute to the original artwork made for the Wing Commander Privateer game (you can see my rendition of New Detroit in my gallery as well).

Wing Commander Privateer is a game which came out in 1993. It's in my top 10 favorite games of all time. One of the reasons I liked it so much was the great artwork that was in it.

The original image has a very low resolution and was made with a low color pallette. Consequently, I've made several assumptions and have also added a few extra details on my own.

Therefore, this is one of my less accurate representations by choice. However, I'm pretty happy with the result.

Since I already had the model of the Centurian aready made for the New Detroit image, this scene wasn't extraordinarily hard to make. I needed a break from the other work I've been doing and this was a nice switchup.

Hope you like it! It was really fun for me and pretty easy to boot. I'm getting a TON of enjoyment just staring at it on my computer at work!

Kudos to the original artist at Origin game studios who came up with the original image (whoever that maybe!).

Wing Commander was one of my favorites as well. This actually reminds me of something a bit older...the Galazy Rangers. I only have a couple of episodes, but I am still looking for more. It was a little silly, but compared to most cartoons at the time it was a lot less silly and a bit more serious.
