"The trouble with experience is that it usually teaches you something you really didn't want to know." -Mountain Ear

Made with: Blender 2.62
Rendered with: Cycles

I finally remembered to upload this once and for all, after being stalled and personally waiting for some more related renders to be done. Those will come in the future, but for now here's a sneak peak into one of the alleged shots.

Great looking droplets on a very fine BG. Love the use of DOF blur to bring out the droplets. Very neat

As noted at BlenderArtists, this is both extremely beautiful and extremely simple. I think it's the only vignetted image I've seen in ages that hasn't looked contrived and annoying to me. And that includes a lot of photos. It's incredibly realistic. The only thing I miss is the bit of water connecting the drops to the leaf, but I can't imagine anyone else noticing. It's very evocative, and you melded the foreground with the background perfectly.

kobaltkween: Wow! Thank you so much. Often, vignettes and lens distortions are double edged blades that are very difficult to get by or even include in most imagery. I'm very glad, despite me crossing fingers, that you liked this image. :)
