A lot happens down by the creek. If you follow it through the bottom lands, it winds it's way into the deep woods at the Edge of Three Dog Hollow. If you look very carefully, you might see the ruins of what is said to be an ancient Castle, though how it got there, no one knows. We suspect it is haunted. Sometimes there is a candle flickering in one of the broken windows.
Ah, but I'm getting off track here. Things live in the ruins, ghosts, wild animals take shelter there, bats live there, as do mice and rats and squirrels and all manner of small critters. All Hallows Eve is a night they all hold sacred, it is a time when wonderful things can happen and also some scary thing.
My favorite thing is that the wee brown bats are allowed to show another side of themselves, and they are allowed to speak! I've only met one, and she has a friend who is a very pretty rat. We leave treats for them at the edge of the deep woods. We don't venture much further.
We are going out to the Hollow for a few days. We'll be closing up for the winter, the camper has to be winterized, and things need to be brought home. So it is the end of camping for the season. Hopefully we'll have some day trips during the winter.
The little bat girl and the rat are by Leilana. She creates some of the sweetest and prettiest things! I love her tubes. She has beautiful free tubes and apparently we can no longer say the web site where these things come from, some websites are easy enough to figure out a way to mention them, try this leilana at de/diverse. Or site mail me.

I think that's kinda cool you call your place the Hollow and when Hallow's eve comes around it's also Hollow's Eve - time to lock it up for the season. I hope you don't get scared by the taking bats - I hear some have bird friends that like to say "Holy Crap" from time to time - lol
