TWITTER DEE … TWITTER DUMB

I have a fatso friend who lives her life
In virtual realities because
She says the he-males she knows in the flesh
Have gum disease and boozy boozy breaths.

TWITTER DEE … TWITTER DUMB

An elevator going up made me
A fellow traveler with an ancient Maam
Whose bony fingers toyed with I-Phone keys.
She held her Apple out to me and smiled.
“It’s just amazing! I don’t have to think.”

TWITTER DEE … TWITTER DUMB

And then there are those teens and twenties souls
Enslaved by tiny hand-held masters that
Compel attention. You’ll see them
On subways, trains and streets so utterly
Absorbed they’ll knock you down without so much
As “Sorry”. I’m convinced all of 2000’s years
Will be remembered as the Century
Of Gadget Clones and Mind Numbed Idiots.

Yeah, yeah, that's all well and good but what did you have for lunch? And did you see what Beyonce was wearing today? OMG!

I was once almost run down by a woman texting instead of driving. Good thing my mother taught me to look both ways. But that was in the ancient times before twitter.
