Thanks everybody for your kind comments on my previous pieces.
As to this one... personally... meh. Jury's still out. I know what I wanted and this isn't quite it, but maybe it's time to shelf it and move on...

Wow, Zander – good catch! It’s one of my favorite lines from any movie (though the beginning part of it is so untrue of me – lol, I crunch numbers by day). Tell ya what – if you wanna call it a prize, I’ll buy you a beer next time you’re in Ottawa. Or a coffee, whatever turns your crank! Thank you all for the comments! (Um… is it bad form to be posting in my own comments? Heh…)

As an artist you have the right and privalege to post in your own comments. Often things need explaining on an individual basis. It is a tool to be used.
There is is package sold here called "Wet and Wounded" by dburdick which would give you the drenched look on her skin - that is my guess as to what you think is missing here. You can also buy the wet as a seperate set if you don't want the bloody and bruised parts.

I was in a workshop with Bill Dixon (Mercedes Lackey's husband) when I heard him say, "Art is more often abandoned than it is finished."
He was pointing out that the artist is Never Quite Satisfied with the end result, there is ALWAYS One More Fix.
Nicely Expressed As Is.
