| Every year the citizens of Aurinor make a present (required of course) to the Autocrat. His weight in star diamonds. These diamonds are harvested in very harsh conditions in the Fire Desert, some wise men presume that are the remnants of a comet crashed in that place. No mention that the Autocrat is fatter every year. Many thanks for your visit and comments. Note: This practice of weight in gold and jewels is a real fact. The Imam or religious leader of the Nazarene Ismailits, the later Muhammad Sha, Aga Khan III (1877-1957) agreed to the title by just eight years and held it until the eighties, leading him to his greatest influence, his wealth, his love of horse racing and his active social life, made him a celebrity in the West, though many see a contradiction between its lifestyle and spiritual leadership in some of the world's poorest regions. Although the annual ceremony of the Aga Khan to make an offering of its weight in gold and jewels was a graphic expression of this contradiction. His friendship with the King of England led him to join the Council of the Viceroy of India in 1902. His grandson Karim ( the actual Aga Khan IV) rejected the offering. Mistyland XVIII - Aurinor |

A fabulous image and story, dear Cosme, Beautiful work here. Hugs for all day. Di. xx
I don't rate the politics here - they should shave lumps off the autocrat till he fits! The image + story makes a compelling combination. It's one of those where the scale of the components confuses at first - the steps look tiny compared to the balance, but it all works out well when you look more closely. Nice job.
