I created this image because I wanted to test and learn about a few features of lightwave 9.6 (sss shading, nodes and dielectric materials).

For the background and lightsetup including hdr map I used the fantastic smart IBL Plugin (wich is available also for other 3dapps).

mmm. i like the scene. the light seems a little off for some reason, but that's very minor point compared to things like the beauty of the grape skins.

Amazing look - Well done on the glass's themselves and showing the internal reflections as well as the exteriour. Agree with the others on the glasses not casting shadows.

What all of the rest already commented on and superb render. There is something odd, though: The grapes settle on the table with a solid shadow, but the glassware seems to be slightly detached.

I think the shadow is perfect. The glasses cast a semi-transparent shadow (glass) toward the back and right. The shadow from the part with the wine is more solid, and the grapes cast an even more solid shadow. Awesome render. I thought it may be a photo, very real.
