Venus-Aphrodite was none too pleased with Cupid-Eros when she found out he was indulging a dalliance with the very mortal woman who had been said to be more beautiful than she.
So one day when sonny boi wasn't looking she stole his princess away and had her way with her (hey she is the Goddess of love with very few weapons at her disposal--save for one)...and no mortal can resist her...
Eros was a bit peeved to find out what Mom did with her girlfriend and spirited Psyche away as soon as he had the chance vowing to have nothing more to do with the Goddess....
Callad--Sylvia is a wonder to render--thanks so much--I love her! She is the prefect Venus!

Where are you going to, Alicia?. . .
This is a new branch and quite a fruitful one.
Why not get right down to heart of love and desire!?
Okay!... I'm on board with that.
What stikes me is the abundant evidence that this is a dynamically inspired work. You know I adore our Syl' ... but there is much more than a goddess drawing me into the mix here. These are the archetypal forces of eros.
Continue to follow this stream and I shall certainly pull a chair up ... real close.
Independent of all other works before or after ... this is a powerful and beautiful vision.

I LOVE Aphordite's expression in this one!!! :D :D :D It's like I can almost hear her screaming "GET BACK HERE!!!"
I love the perspective and lighting you used here. Fits the scene perfectly!!! And Eros and Persephone... it's like in that exact moment, each is the only thing that exists in the other's world, in spite of mom :P
I really love this one, Alicia!!! :D
