| Fly-In: Arlington, Washington. 1948 Chrysler Windsor Sedan. Chrysler built thousands of Sherman tanks during the World War II years of 1942-1945. Three years later, their cars still somewhat resembled tanks...big and heavy...but they had glorious amounts of chrome, plush mohair seats, wind wings, cowl air scoops, ultra wide white sidewall tires and even old fashioned suicide doors:-) Bill:) "More Faces" |

by Faemike55 on Jul 15, 2010 12:31:22 am [homepage] Fantastic capture! love it in B&W
This really pops in b&w! It's a beautiful old car, and your postwork has really done it justice. Nice work!
We have been a Ford family for 3 generations but I often toyed with the idea of breaking out of the box and buying a Chrysler. They just had style and could take a licking on the road. :-) Guess I know why now. Oh well, unless its a used one, I won't be getting one now I suppose. Lovely shot of this old gal.
Great capture of this lovely old beast Bill. This does look great as a B&W image too well done..
The days of flat glass windscreens... curves everywhere but there. Your work in B&W suits the vehicle very well, Clive
Now that is a big smile. A very beautiful car indeed. And I like so much the reflections. LOL! Tanks :-)
Great shot especially in b/w.

One of my favorite Chryslers....!!!! Great capture...
What a beauty! Excellent capture. :)
These were a beauty Bill just before the fins took over. My personal favourite pre-fin is the 1951-54 Chevy Bel Air.

outstanding B/W image!!
It does looks very heavy, good to see these old cars!!!!
Marvellous capture of this stunning oldie! I saw one of these in the last little while, and was absolutely fascinated! Exquisitely maintained, and what a lovely shine! I like how you've done the B&W theme... it's most fitting and adds the antique feel to it even more so! Splendid subject and POV!
How very elegant this looks! A beautiful capture!
Great shot! It's hard to remember how big cars were in those days. Very substantial vehicles. I like the use of B & W here, it adds to the antique feel of this old "tank"
Great car. Beautiful shot!!!
Excellent B&W capture! Looks like you did a little time travel with this one. ;)
bonne photo! | |
It looks like they took a leaf out of Henry Fords book 'you can have any colour as long as it's black' beautiful capture.
