Wassail. Hello all. I had reservations about posting this, as I really don't want to come off as arrogant or something, "hey look at me, I know lots of stuff about armour!" but really, things I learn I like to share. So this is in no way to be meant as haughty or arrogant. This is something I will be including in the documentation with the product. This gives you a bit of relevant information both on the anatomy of armour, and how to work with said part in Poser.

The project is just about done. I haven't made the Black Lacquer shaders yet, but that may have to wait for a texture expansion pack, as the package is pretty large already. But it is something I really want to do. I love the black against yellow, or gold. I think it looks really good.

As of now though, everything is modeled, mapped, rigged, cr2's have been dealt with. I have to make a couple morphs for the Gambeson and the gloves, but she is pretty much done. All the pngs for the Poser libraries are done as well. Just have lots of documentation to do, some promo renders, etc.

The textures have been tweaked now too, the brass isn't so bright. Much darker, and the Polyns have been evened out so they don't stand out so much from the cuisse.

Anyways, hope you guys find this image interesting, what with all the reading:P Me, I'm fascinated by stuff like this, and have three or more pics like this of actual armour, all labeled and such.

Cheers! :)

well, it makes it easier than 'chest piece' and 'elbow cover'...;) Actually, this is both well-done and informative. Make all of these you like. Someday someone's going to use this for freestuff or marketplace items as a reference, and it will make it a lot easier to find things.

You go.

Quality work that sets a high standard!! Look forward to using this in my own model scenes!

... and its not arrogant to show the progression and structural data for us to both learn from and appreciate just a little of what it takes to make this articulate correctly.

The armor looks fantastic and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
As for your presentation and information, I find it extremely useful! I love armor and appreciate having a reference guide like this. It's also very handy for anyone learning about the anatomy of armor.
