No more versions of this render...I promise! This actually came about as the result of the original being pulled here because of the "violent" thumbnail. Somehow, a fictional giant ape and an animal that's been extinct for 70 million years or so are considered "living creatures." I saw the original King Kong - which contained a nearly identical scene (except that it was a lot more violent than this, as King Kong plays with the hapless dino's broken jaw after he kills it) during a kid's program when I was 8 years old. Kinda funny that a gallery that caters to artists is censored more than children's programming. Anyhooo, being far too lazy to make a thumbnail of an image I already considered finished, I decided to give it another go. Personally, I feel that this one came out a lot better than the first version. So much for censorship being detrimental to creativity... If you're interested in comparing this to the previous version (or just seeing what the fuss is all about) you can see the first version here: http://www.dreamslayerartworks.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=601&goto=next&c=member&orderby=title&direction=ASC&imageuser=3548&cutoffdate=-1

This version seems to have more energy! I think it's the lighting.

I like this one the best. It looks sharper to my eyes and more dramatic, excellent work! I guess in the PC world we live in Tom and Jerry would have a violence warning. Glad censorship spured you to better things.

Very nice image! Great solution for Vue's tree texture problem in foreground tree (I've had same prob, some vue trees texture so weird up close) the foliage and bark look sweet. I like the clouds added around the mountain in back also :) Character poses are superb ! Just wanted to add in reference to first posting of this image, if you haven't come across it geekatplay.com has solved almost all my Vue texturing questions by doing their free tutorials :)
