Well.. a BIG hello to all you Rositeers!

Today I got a feather up my (ahem) to create an animation.

This is a somewhat large animation Mpeg (18M) so I hope your
using a fairly fast
Click on the link right below and choose the OPEN option.

How did I do this you might ask?

I started with the Background I built in Bryce last Halloween.
(It might look familiar?)
I have a lot of unused (until now) video tools.
I took my Bryce background into Adobe (R) Movie Studio and
added all the electrical and sound effects.
Then I took my Spore (R) program and created this FrankenBird.
I used the Spore animation interface to create an AVI animation.
I chose the black background option in Spore for this.
Then back to Adobe.. imported the Spore animation and used the
"Blue Screen" option (but defined it as black) to make black=clear.
Finally, merged both animations into one as you now see it.

Hope you enjoy this.. it took all of three

Please let me know if you liked my little animation.
Have a great week ahead everyone.

Hugs from Dave :^)

Bryce 5.5 for background.
Spore for Creature, Motion and Sounds.
Adobe for Special Effects and Mixing.

This is terrific, outstanding, super cute and unique Dave. I like these critters. You have outdone yourself on this one. The animation, music, and background is out of this world. This is so damn cute, you can't help but laugh. Takes time to see and enjoy it all, but it's worth every bit of the wait. This turned out great. Nice clarity and depth. The lighting is perfect. Another Masterpiece. Huggs... Silkylady...

I LOVED your animation!!!!!!! What a cute bird and such a creative little movie. I've always wanted to learn to make animations and I think I can with my XaraXtreme but I don't know how. Thanks for sharing.

ROTFL! Yeah, I saw this when you posted it and didn't comment like a big dog. The animation and composite was really well done and the effects really made it come alive nicely! That was a very creative way to electrify the Spore and zap the snot out of him...I'll have to remember that trick when they knock on my door for rent! LOL! So sorry I haven't been around, but I think I wore out my welcome around here and found greener pastures for the big win. You and Silkylady have the best Easter ever...and don't forget the milk and cookies. (Whoops! Wrong holiday! LOL!)

I just woke up and looked at the animation and I am busting a gutt...this was so cute and so wonderfully done, the sound it made fit it so well...only a genius such as yourself could come up with all this and make it look so real, very well done Dave!

Wow, I never saw any of your animations before.. this is really cool. I love both the crazy dance, lighting, how he shakes is off and the entire composition. Thanks for your explanation on how you did it! Excellent work .. (BTW. That you did this in only 3 hours is fantastic, usually storyboardnin, animation work, sound editing, composition and final rendering can take weeks if not months depending on the contents). You seen to have a very good idea of how to utilize different tools to their best and then finding ways of combining the output. More please!
