| She had felt them growing apart and suddenly realized they had been far too busy for far too long. Work stresses, bill worries and parental responsibilities had conspired to transform them from a couple - into roommates. Immediately upon the realization, she began planning - and today was the day for action. She had gotten away from work early, picked up the kids and dropped them at her brothers house, and then hurried home to get there before her honey did. She poured the wine, adjusted the lighting and arranged herself just as she had envisioned. The secretiveness and anticipation gave her a glow and she couldn't suppress the smile... - - - - - - - - Pinup type images are't really my thing, but here is my first (maybe only) one. This image is the culmination of a lot of things happening right now: - My temporary loss of creativity, a desperate need to break out of the slump; - Loved ones (including my daughter) breaking up around me; - An article I read about the "sexless relationship" epidemic sweeping the developed countries. Sometimes with all the hustle and bustle, responsibilities and pressures, we forget what attracted us to our honeys in the first place. Yes, after the first physical blush of a new relationship, most of us naturally settle down a bit LOL, and of course it isn't the only component of a healthy relationship. But physical intimacy *IS* essential for a thriving relationship and it appears many of us have forgotten to occasionally bank the fires to keep them lit. So make your reconnection a top priority along with all of the other things on your to-do list. Get rid of the kids and pets for a night, a day, a weekend - and go enthusiastically get reacquainted.
