Okay, taking a deep breath here. This is the first posting of the beast I've been working on when I didn't have the net, and when I wasn't working on predator. I learned a LOT working on this bad boy and I don't want to reveal too much of him at once. I had debated on posting at this stage at all, as it still needs to go into beta testing.

As is the beast is just about done. Just have to fix a grouping problem and a "poser created an additional layer of polygons over the grouping problem" poser issue. Second time that happened. Takes a bit to fix, but as it stands this will take a bit more to fix because this computer, despite being new and having probably twice if not more than twice the power of my old system, it won't run Wings, barely runs poser, doesn't like Vue, amongst others. And that's both XP and Vista. I think its a video card thing, but whatever. I'm going to put my old system back togeather to get this beast done. Soe it will be a while yet.

I figured it's probably a good time to start a bit of hype around this guy. There is a feature this dragon has that I have yet to see in any other. Don't want to give away that feature just yet, though I'm sure anyone with a sharp eye can figure it out.

Anyways, this is what I hope will be the first in a series of dragons, all different kinds. This particular dragon I've called Skywyrm, and is more or less like Vermithrax, or the Reign of Fire beasties, especially in the wing design. Their arms are their wings, they don't have six limbs. They move on the ground like bats. Not a wyvern exactly, but similar.

Let me know what you think. And yes, that is the basic model there, with some morphs in the head. Can't see them much from that distant, but the head has a hand full of morphs for customizing the face, there are body morphs for the spikes, and the "bonyness" of the wings. There are no addons yet except some spikes behind the horns, though there will be tail ends, and such but probably in add on packages.

If you read all that, good. That means I caught your interest. Don't get me wrong, I love the good ol' daz dragon, but its not for me really. I prefer my membranes on my wings to reach below the arm pit. :P Don't worry, his waist and hip still bend. heh heh ;)

Cheers while I take a breath :P

The first thing I notice about your dragon compared with the DAZ one is your's is far more realistic. I always thought the millenium dragon looks child like, your looks the dogs b@**$&s, enough said.

Looking very good! And your render his splendid! I'm glad you are angling at the Reign of Fire type dragon. They had a very cool look to them, almost feline. And I'm sure your dragon will be superb! Can't wait!!!!!!

I loved watching this dragon come to life. I wish you the best of success with it, which I know you will have. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's AMAZING! FANTASTIC! INCREDIBLE! SUPERIOR! and the best damned dragon I've seen made for Poser. Best of luck and never stop creating.

What I notice is that the wing length much larger than the body. When you think about it, dragon must have lighter body density than say an elephant. They have to lift or soar and the smaller body is going to give them that. Awesome image.

You tease lol! This thing looks fantastic upclose, and the animation that Swidhelm showed us with this thing moving through the air... Suffice to say, it was breath-taking. This baby might encourage me to put Poser back on my computer to play with, even if I am no where near the level of skill of any of you folks :)
