TWENTY-FIVE YEARS
WHERE DID IT ALL GO

NOT MUCH TO SAY
AS THEY LOOK UP AT EACH OTHER
AND GIVE A OCCASIONAL SMILE

A LITTLE SMALL TALK OVER DESERT
SHE DOES THE DISHES
HE TURNS ON THE NEWS

UP TO BED
A SIMPLE I LOVE YOU
A PECK ON THE LIPS
THEY WRAP UP IN THEIR COVERS
AND TURN BACK TO BACK

THEIR HEARTS ARE BOTH BREAKING
THEIR SOULS ARE ACHING
DAYDREAMING OF SOMEONE ELSE

THEY ARE BOTH IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER
BUT NEITHER ONE KNOWS HOW TO TELL THE OTHER
SO EVERY NIGHT ITS THE SAME THING

TWO LOVERS
TWO LIARS
LIVING IN PAIN
