I celebrate one year on Renderosity on the 23rd, hence this gastronomical subject and recipe. I know it's a bit early but I will be away until Tuesday. This is one of my wife's special treats and I was asked to photograph it for her recipe book.
Thank you for all the kindness over the year!
If you are interested in the future of our lions and you are willing to read very controversial things, I started a blog entry which may address some of the many questions I had been asked since starting the lion series.
I hope you all enjoy the uploads of the lion weekend of the South African "team", Visit the forum for all the silly things which happened behind the scenes. Their photo uploads:

A hearty congratulations on your approaching one year anniversary! I'm sure there will be many more, including more lions, various other animals, the veldt, etc.
That looks like devil's food cake in that lovely photo. Too bad I'm not allowed to eat that kind of stuff, of I would transport it here post haste, using Star Trek technology.

First beautiful lions and now tummy tempting chocolate cake that is just perfect for your wife's cook book. When's the next plane to Jo'burg? Congrats on your first birthday here at RR, Piet. Your talent and images have added new dimensions to our site. The South African photo group (I almost said "mafia.") presents a corner of the world that most of us aren't familiar with. Thanks for the wonderful views and give us more!
