Appreciate the comment from everyone here.. have wanted to do this scene for some time and while working on something totally different was happy to put this together in between modeling tests.

Hope I have not mislead you here... This scene is made up of models I have purchased from other modelers. In a few minutes I will post my first test render on the model I am working on... and yes it will be on Poser and Vue

OK, by far the best air combat image I've ever seen!

Appreciate that... there are a number of fantastic artists here that capture the feel of being in the air. I wanted to try my hand at it. I think the thing that helped the most in this was doing motion blur on a number of elements.

Definitely needs a view full size! Incredible work Don,the motion blur of the planes and bombs, the POV from beneath the foreground bomber, the intensity captured...all add up to a masterful render, inspiring as always!

Not quite Space..but wait to see my test render in a few minutes that I was working on while doing this...... I think you are right about the motion blur.

Did work out rather nice. The trick was moving over to Photoshop to add in a bunch of post work what would be be available in Vue, nor should it be.

Excellent, Don. I like it on all counts the framing with the underbelly gun is a really nice touch to add depth and compositional framing. I like the way the static horizontal bombers are contrasted by the blurred fighters coming in among them. Really beautiful job!

Hey BIll... you're one of those artists I was just talking about who really know how to make things look real in the air... but then you are a real traditional artist with an extensive background.... for those who have never looked at Bill's gallery of aerial compositions... your missing out.

Wow! I would not even know where to begin to critique something this far beyond my experience with 3D modeling. You say "a quick work". I suspect there is more to it than that. Anyway, great scene of one of history's most significant battles (Battle of Britain).

Appreciate the comment..but again I am just using other modelers assets in this one. I only have two aircraft in my store...Da Vinci Glider Poser/Vue, and a WWI RAF FE b2 Bi Plane Vue only for now.... Look for my current effort in a few moments..Its still a WIP but will give you and idea.

Superb aircraft models (even if you didn't make them!) (He111, Me109 and Spitfires if I'm not much mistaken). Superbly framed and full of action, and I agree that the motion blur adds so much dynamic feel. Great atmosphere too - altogether superb!

Thanks for looking...a number of you do great aerial scenes...and in your case model great planes that I wanted to try. Post work I think saved this from me just deleting it.

I really need to visit your gallery more often.
This is terrific, so much action in one scene and all the mayhem of battle.
You even have the He 111's tumbling bombs right.
