If you’re ever lost in the deserts of central Harnûn, pray to any and all the gods that you come across one of these oases. Here—alongside much needed water and shade—you can glimpse groves of ancient Iarnac Trees, unchanged over the long eons while their brethren have diminished and been replaced by more modern forests. Do be careful, though; the water may be safe enough to drink, but its depth hide dangerous predators. Also, the berries are quite foul, though not altogether poisonous. If you encounter any of the nomadic tribesmen do not be fearful of them. They will let you live; it is their way to let the desert do the killing.
Anyway, the trees—roots, trunk and branches—were modeled in Maya (as was the terrain) and then the leaves—made with xfrog—were applied later…..other models made in xfrog as well, except the solid growth plants…..hope you like it!......
