:) He's small in stature but not at all lacking in strength, agility and courage.
My Halfling stands a little over 4 ft. tall, making him awkward for a full size man to attack. His lower perspective allows him to find gaps in armor and disable an attackers mobility. He possesses twice the strength and stamina of a full size man, with denser bones, ligaments and muscle fibers. My Halflings also have enhanced regenerative qualities, and long life. The potential for evil is not in their character.
I've always loved the Halfling style character, I used to draw them all the time. Something about them seems like all the great fantasy characters in one, elves, dwarves, humans. They can be archers, thieves, warriors, magic users, Druids and more. To me they're just really fun and interesting.
I've been wanting to try this idea for some time.
Yesterday, I finally had some time to fire up Poser and see if it would work with M4.
I'm really pleased with the character and the Xurge3D - conforming armor worked out really well, although I do need to improve the material shaders and turn down the displacement on certain items.
(I will most likely UPDATE this image with an improved one in the next few days.)

Very nice, lighting and DoF for camera are great.
Are there any other texture colors for the armor? Might be nice to contrast even more against the background rocks... but of course the gold armor lining does a pretty good job as-is. And the yellow/gold lining actually already contrasts nicely with the blue birds.

Yeah, contrast was a problem in the original raw render, and I corrected it as best I could in Photoshop.
Also I think if the armor were more smooth and reflective that might have done the trick to bring the character forward in the scene more. I went a bit crazy with the value on the displacement, so that is something I would like to improve. I may need to alter the original armor bump / displacement maps to get a nice displacement without all the noise.
I really like the way this image turned out though :)
