It is said there are places that can hold powerful memories from the past. If the darkest of these memories cry out to be heard, will you have the courage to listen?

This was my entry for the Halloween Contest. A special thanks to pidjy (for the wonderfully detailed ruined building model), DAZ (for the Ragdoll), and Kozaburo (for the MorphHair).

Awesome image, it kinda reminds me of Clive Barker's Undying, that game has some subtle spooky imagery like this, but this is much bloodier and that always a plus in my book. I love the mood, i'd rank it excellent if i could.

Very effective. I like the way the blood has thickness to it - it looks like blood rather than an accident with the colourize tool. The lighting is well done, too, particularly the dull hue of the scene outside. No criticisms here, but if I were doing it I would have only included the central "load" of gore, and also left out the two ghosts left and top. But that's just personal preference. Great stuff!

Very creepy and effective! Good blood is hard to do--mine looks like paint. I agree with Tuttle that I'd have just left in one ghost, but I'd vote for the one at the top--it takes a moment to see it and there's something chilling about something wrong *above* you! I'd give it an excellent!

I have to say, of all of the halloween entries this one is the only one that gave me the creeps. I was going to vote for a different pic until I hit this one. I stopped looking. LOVE IT!

However, I disagree about getting rid of the extra girls. They say something significant and far more horrifying than one little girl dying, it says this has been going on for a while. I would, however, make them significantly different. Keep thier poses, just change their clothes and hair, make it more obvious that there are more of them. Unless of course they are all just echoes of the same child....

When I was a kid I got scared while watching the "Exorcist".Then as an adult it was reading Stephen Kings novel "It" that kept me up at night.
When I spotting those girls, I could just imagine the horror that raced through them as whatever evil it was left their souls just standing their in that house while they played happily with that doll.

I've come back to this image about five times now... truly one of the best "horror" images I've seen in this or any medium. As for the Girls, I don't "translate" them as multiple gilrs, just the same tortured soul... echoing.
