| Thank you for your visit and many thanks for your support of my last pic, I truly appreciate it my friends. I hope you like this one. The dog is a Border Collie and one of a few I am painting for a dog pack, I hope to upload to my store. I have been painting them for a few weeks now on and off, and still have a few to paint, it is a very exacting task and it takes me a long time. :o)I painted the lamb a while ago. The whole scene was painted using wacom intuos3 tablet and pen in CS4. Story - The snows came early to the Yorkshire hills and lambing had begun. The border collie had been hard at work all day helping his master herd the sheep with their lambs down to the lower pastures. The border collie is one of the most hard working and intelligent of dogs and this particular dog knew there was still not all the flock there, so he went off on his own in pursuit of any stray lambs. The good dog found one little lamb who was keeping warm near a tree and under a blanket of snow. The dog knew he had to stay with the lamb until his master whistled him, and when he did the dog barked, and the farmer knew instinctively that was a bark of alarm, so he picked up his lamp and made his way through the snow toward the trusty loyal sheep dog. There was a happy ending and the farmer's wife took the lamb into her farm kitchen to warm him near the range, and gave him a bottle feed, and of course the dog joined them too. Aren't dogs the most amazing creatures? Happy Christmas guys, keep safe, hugs Jane xx background JaneEden'sWinterMagic - YURdigital snow brushes - Rons Magical snow - DAZ3d Please zoom Production Credits: mystikel - Snow Brushes |

You've even captured that intense look Border Collies get when they are focused on a task. And this one is focused on saving the lamb. What a stunning image! One of Murphy's best buddies was a Border Collie, Kelsie was her name.

Sis, as always you managed to find a way to make my night. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and moving images I've seen in a while. I love the story of the border collie watching over this little lamb, until he heard the Masters call. You are so talented and the way you brought these furry friends to live is nothing short of astounding. Thank you for leaving me with a warm feeling on this cold winters night
